If you are a woman who wants to make money and make a difference, you are in the right place.

We are a feminist equity venture capital company investing in strategically led companies run by women.

We know how to run high return companies, raise capital, invest in high return companies, and provide continued shareholder return.

By the way we did this before it was the “Right” thing to do.

Bumble Bees Venture Capital was formed by women to help women investors profit by investing in strategically led companies run by women.

The financial system is generally run by men with little focus on the unique needs of women investors. Women live longer, work differently, and invest differently.

Why the name Bumble Bees?

Bumblebees live and operate in a system led by females, working together for the good of the entire hive. Perfect fit for us.

Our PURPOSE:   Female Equity

Equity in investing

Equity in returns

Equity in voice

Equity in leadership

Women put the W in Win, Win, Win...

Investors win by finding smart and strategic companies that will grow over time. Investees win by gaining knowledge, accessing expertise and building influence. Businesses win by achieving better performance. The world wins when women achieve equity in business, leadership, and all aspects of daily life. There is only upside to investing in women! Balancing the scales will mean success for all.

    Women are an excellent investment

The world is full of women. Half the world in fact. However, they do not have half the voice, or half the influence, or half the opportunities. That just seems completely foolish to us. A terrible waste of potential profit, and as it turns out, not good for the world at all.

    Women Make Money

Women are great for business. Statistics and studies show that involving women in business leadership results in increased innovation, and significantly improved performance.

The Potential For Women To Make Money Is Enormous

Women are largely underrepresented in finance and venture capital. “In the U.S. Less than 10% of all U.S. fund managers are women; women exclusively run about 2% of the industry’s assets and open-end funds.”
    — (Bloomberg, 2016)

In every year since 2009, a diversified portfolio of hedge funds has underperformed a standard 65 percent equities/35 percent fixed-income portfolio. The converse has been true of the private markets, with private equity outperforming the 65/35 portfolio over that same period.
    — (Baghai, P., Erzan, O., and Kwek, J., McKinsey & Company, December 2017)

Greater than 20% women in leadership is required for innovation. You need a critical mass.
    — Rocio Lorenzo. Want a more innovative company? Hire more women. (October 2017).

Globally, [women] control about $20 trillion in annual consumer spending, and that figure could climb as high as $28 trillion in the next five years. Their $13 trillion in total yearly earnings could reach $18 trillion in the same period.
    — (Female Economy, Sayre, K. & Silverstein, M.J., Harvard Business Review, 2009)
We might not have suffered the global financial crash of 2008 had Lehman Brothers had a few sisters.
